Hi I’m Brent. I’m an academic (my PhD is in online consumer psychology). For the past decade I’ve been researching why ideas spread, and what causes people to share. In 2011 I developed the ‘bump’ algorithm that predicts the spread of memes and video ads, and a few years later I wrote a book to summarise what I learned about Viral Marketing.
